Majayjay Town Fiesta
The fiesta is a time when the villagers celebrate their patron saint, the beauty of their place of worship, and their community as a whole. When the fiesta comes around, many overseas Filipino workers make an effort to attend. Food is plentiful, hospitality is gracious, and there is a strong sense of community in these times. Serious historians see them as evidence of the success of the evangelizing work of the Spanish friars in charge of organizing village life around the parish church and plaza. While the cohesion and calmness of village life and celebrations are now taken for granted, serious historians see them as proof of the success of the Spanish friars' evangelizing activity.
