Bukals falls, also known as Kilangin falls or Maimpis falls, is located in Barangay Bukal in Majayjay, Laguna. The falls indeed have a lot of names, but one thing is for sure, I’m amazed by their beauty. Crystal clear turquoise and freezing water surrounds the mossy rocks. Good news for those who don’t know how to swim! There’s a life vest for rent in the registration area. A life vest is optional, but if you really want to enjoy yourself without the worry of drowning, wear a life vest. You can get to the falls within a 40-minute walk (since the trail going there has a 2 out of 10 difficulty rating). They built a bamboo bridge that made it easy to cross the river, except for the part where you have to go down to get to the falls. Yes, the path going to the falls is cemented, but it is still steep (you’ll have an idea of how steep it is if you’ve been to Hulugan Falls). But it is something that you have to endure only on your way back.
